Can I use Valist instead of Play Store?

so theoretically if I create a mobile app and publish it on Valist, it could be purchased and installed in a similar way to Play Market (Android) or App Store (IOS)? Or there are some limitations?

As far as I know Valist supports Android APKs and that can be installed from the site and an installer for Apple will be released really soon
